I love LOVE! I am a hopeless romantic and sometimes I fall in love with a movie, an idea, a painting, a play, a song or a dance. Some say we don’t need Valentine’s Day but I think it is such an important day to remind us to celebrate those that we love; a significant other, our kids, our friends, our family, our mentors.
February is Heart month. I think part of taking care of our heart is learning to give and receive unconditional love. Love is a gift meant to be shared. I am saddened by the people I meet who focus on only who they don’t have to love rather than the opportunity in front of them to love anyone that crosses their path. Sometimes I think I love too much and it’s why I can get hurt easily but I know love is always worth the risk. If I loved you once I will always love you though I may never see you again.
It is easy to think of love as an emotion but it is really more about choice. To say you love is much different than to show you love. If you are looking for love start with yourself. Take care of yourself, be healthy, be happy and attract people that are also healthy and happy. If your relationships seem unhealthy it is time to look at yourself first and what you are doing to live your best life.
Are you ready to make the choices need to get healthy? Make time for yourself each day to be centered, peaceful and seek joy in the simple things?
When we look for love in all the right places we are much more likely to find it than when we seek in the wrong place!
