Goals
I find that taking a look back at the past year can help me clarify what I want my next year to look like. I think about what I’ve accomplished, who I impacted, and what I can improve on. The challenge is finding an even balance for all the main categories in my life: Business, Finance, Health, Relationships and Faith.
I find many people I work with are so ready to set new goals that they never take the time to look back. They don’t explore what went well and what worked before they focus on where they struggled and what didn’t work. Most people, whether they want to or not, focus more on what didn’t work verses what did.
I think we need to be honest with ourselves about areas of our life we need to improve. It’s okay to look back and reflect on all that we’ve done over the last 12 months. Often times people have accomplished more, overcome more, and walked through more than they allow themselves to realize.
During this first week of 2018, I encourage you to take a moment to look back at your successes before you look forward at what’s next.
