Say Yes
I love it when people say yes first, then ask for details later. I feel like the world we live in today has us surrounded by people who are so cautious about decisions that they rarely get anything done out of fear of committing without overthinking first. They let their sense of fear lead them instead of their sense of adventure.
I love to say yes to things on the spot, then dig into the details later when I have spare time. I believe if you’re too stuck in the details, or too much of a realist, you won’t have as much fun or as many experiences in life. Over time, I’ve encountered dreamers who have lead fantastic, full lives rife with adventure, but I’ve encountered many more realists who begin to think about, maybe even start to plan for or dream about something, just to watch their fears start to seep in and convince them to say no. They tell themselves that being safe and comfortable would be better than the risk of following their hearts.
I feel the people who just say yes, even if it doesn’t make complete sense in the moment, enjoy life more, have more fun, take more risks, and ultimately reap greater rewards. This week, I encourage you to say yes to something that makes you slightly uncomfortable. I challenge you not to let your feelings of comfort, safety, and realism stop you from enjoying a great, new experience as you continue the adventure of life!
What does living your exceptional life look like to you?
Are you a dreamer or a realist?
Do you wait for all the details before making a decision or do you spontaneously jump all in?
Do you prefer adventure or comfort? Why?
If I asked you to say YES in one of my presentations lately and never told you what you said YES to here it is…What cause do you care about? What physical challenge do they offer to raise money? Walk/Jog, Bike ride, paddle or roller blade to raise awareness and money! You Pick the cause and event we together get 10+ people to join us and we celebrate life together. So many causes to pick from. I love to sign up in January and pick a summer event but it is up to you What can we say YES to together?
