Living in Color
I can’t say it enough…please wear some colors! Yes, I know everyone likes black, thinks they look best in black, and more than half of most closets are black. However, did you know you’ve been conditioned by commercialism to believe you look better and thinner in black?
I have many friends who only wear black, but I’ll be honest with you, you do not look better in black (nor does anyone else you know). As you read this, stop and take a quick look around your workplace. Have you ever noticed how your co-workers who wear bright colors are noticed and complimented more often? Wearing bright colors enhances your face, your eyes, and even your energy when you walk into a room.
There’s a reason people wear black to funerals; black makes your face look sad, your skin looks gray, and it gives off a lack of energy. Maybe, just maybe, you might look a tiny bit thinner while wearing black, but is it worth it? Why try and minimize yourself when you can embrace who you are, share who you were created to be, and live in color?
This week, I encourage you to dress in color and send me a photo of you wearing a bright, beautiful outfit. I think you’ll be amazed by the amount of attention you receive and how many compliments are paid to you. It’s time to cast aside the shadow you’re wearing and brighten your life!
