We all need them, and believe it or not we all use them. We currently use or have used coffee, candy, naps, energy drinks, protein powders, snacking, movement, classes, chocolate, cigarettes, alcohol, or drugs. We are all filling in the cracks with something. You see, on our own we get worn down, we hit the wall and need rest. I have learned over the years I would rather use supplements that offer me benefits, not just something that tastes good like a mocha or a candy bar, at mid-afternoon. I love my Spark to keep me going and focused. Now that I’m closer to 50 than 40 I want to stay energized and focused every day to do the work I’ve been called to do. Because of that I use the high quality supplements of AdvoCare. You might think “I’m good, I don’t need supplements,” and though you might be right don’t wait until you’re sick like most people before you start using them.
Some of us use something to wake up, something to workout, something to stay focused, something to push through the afternoon and something to go to sleep. I tell people to use three supplements: a multi-vitamin, a fish oil and a probiotic. I believe AdvoCare is the highest quality out there. We are proud of our products and company so we will never hide behind a nickname like ‘wellness’ or ‘helper.’ We are AdvoCare. We advocate for our clients because we care about their health even before they do. But this isn’t about any of those supplements, this is about the BEST supplement out there, the one that changes everything, that can heal you, your family, and your friends.
You see, many people think they need coffee to wake up and wine to go to sleep but if you’re looking for more energy in the morning and more restful peace in the evening then pray and pray some more. Prayer changes everything. Pray for yourself, pray for others, and pray with others. Pray blessings and grace over yourself, your marriage, your family, your calling, your finances, and your fears. Pray prayers of gratitude for all you have, and for all your relationships, even the hard ones.
Prayer is the ultimate supplement. When you wake in the middle of the night for no apparent reason use that time to ask God what you need, and how you can live this life to the fullest because prayer is the perfect supplement! My husband told me he had the best night’s sleep the other day and I said, “That’s because I prayed for and over you before you went to sleep.”
If you want to heal your body and soul, pray every day to keep the doctor away. It’s better than an apple or any other supplement you can buy out there. Prayer heals and prayer works!

Are you an Encouraging person?
Who can and Who will you encourage today?
Do you encourage yourself to do more, Be MORE?
Encouraging does that describe you? Do you look for the good? Are you more focused on how it will work, be fun, be challenging or more on how hard, difficult or unlikely you are to succeed? Everyday opportunities are placed in front of us to try something new, to meet someone new or to travel to some place new. Some of you will jump at the opportunity while others will avoid it at all cost. Today I wonder how could you encourage yourself or someone around you to not be afraid but instead to go for it! Do your thoughts and words lift people up or scare them with “What if something bad happens” thoughts? Living life to the fullest is all about taking risks, reaching higher, stepping outside your comfort zone. Be encouraged that even if it is difficult to get uncomfortable, it will be worth the risk and you will see & learn something new along the way.

Someone called me high maintenance…WOW, I kind of liked it! I told him I was particular and he said “NO you’re high maintenance.” It made me smile. I know to most people it’s not a compliment but to me it felt kind of good to know what I want, speak my mind and be heard. It got me to thinking, what is high maintenance? What does it mean? Is it a good or bad thing? Is it okay to ask for what you want the way you want it? It reminded me that as a child I never felt seen or heard and as a woman I want to be. I want to hear your thoughts and opinions too, but I want you to hear mine. It’s okay to enjoy life, to have interests, desires, needs and even wants met sometimes.
I was talking to a client the other day who was frustrated with a number of people in her life and how they were treating her. I asked, “Do you tell them how you feel? What you want?” and she said, “No, they should know, why don’t they know by now?” See, you can call me high maintenance if you want but at least you know what I want. I know I might not always get it, but I’m going to ask. I want to live on the ocean; I’ll work hard to someday spend at least a month on the ocean. We have to ask for what we want and need from others. If we don’t we spend way too much time disappointed. No one can read your mind. Expectations often lead to disappointment.
Asking for what we want might lead to someone saying no to us but at least we’ll know where we stand, rather than waiting for untold and unrealistic expectations.

Today many people might use different words to describe my life or your but what I love is that I am happy. I am done judging me and every move I make and I am enjoying the moments. I am responsible for my voice and my choice of how I will live my life and what I will speak up about and where I will hold my tongue to bring more peace. My life is filled with more JOY then I ever could have dreamed of but it may not be the life you want. Create your own dream life. Dream big, speak up and go after what you want in life!
“This is a new year. A new beginning. And things will change.” -Taylor Swift
“And now we welcome the New Year, full of things that have never been.” -Rainer Maria Rilke
Today is a new beginning; every day is a new beginning. Many focus on how New Year’s resolutions fail, but I want you to know that even if you don’t have 100% success, that does not mean you fail.
Anytime we want to improve ourselves, our lives, our health, our finances, our relationships, or our career we are seeking to be better. Just the desire to improve is taking one step in the right direction. It takes time, commitment, energy, open mindedness and stumbling to reach our goals. As a coach, I work with clients on goals in many areas of their life. On my own journey to be better, to get better, I find more struggle than success many days, but I am always glad I still have the desire to continue to improve.
Often times the hardest step to take is the first one. The next time someone says they never work out or challenges you as to how long will this last, I encourage you to hold your head up high and say, “At least I have the desire to improve, so far it has lasted 1 day/1week/1month.” Don’t try to change everything at once. Pick one area to improve and work on that until you gain confidence, then add another area to improve.
Is it your faith, your finances, your fitness, your family, your friends, your fun…? Whatever you want to improve pick that area. Then, write down three to six ways you could be more successful in that area. Next, just start with one. For example…health. Join a gym, do a 24 Day Challenge, drink more water, sleep better, use AdvoCare supplements, get an accountability partner, deal with stress, walk the dogs daily, commit, quit drinking, stop eating at 7pm daily, the list could go on. Then just pick one like, move my body 30 minutes each day. Before you know it you will want to drink more water, then eat healthier, and just go from there.
Make this year a year of good change! Take things one step at a time and know that you can do it!
