What are you being called to do today or in 2021? Will you answer the call? Are you willing to be a little uncomfortablt to reach beyond yourself to make a Positive and Powerful IMPACT on another persons life? Will you live beyond WIiFM (What is in it for me) this year? Monday Morning Moment: I wonder what are hard words for you? Is there someone you need to forgve? Is there someone you need to ask for Forgiveness from for something you have done or left undone. As we start this week with a clean slate, I encourage you to seek the first step in Healing by giving or receiving forgiveness. As one of my dear friends often says Grace for you, Grace for me. We can all be a little messy, can we learn to forgive, let go and move forward in this last day of November. 20/20 Clear vision, What will you notice in the second half?

Maybe Clear vision means seeing what you have missed in the past? Maybe it is like Saul having the scales removed to see the people right in front of you or A new prespective of what you thought of how things would be in 2020…What Will You Do? What have you learned the surprised you since this year began? One is one thing that is working well or one silver lining through the challenges?
A new year comes wrapped as the gift of a clean slate; it provides a do-over, a fresh start.

My favorite thing to do on New Year’s Eve is to look back and reflect on the year behind me, then look ahead. I savor the moments that brought me joy, as well as my accomplishments. After that, I look ahead to the new year, (keeping those joyous moments and accomplishments in mind), and plan for what I envision should come next.

In 2019 I set out to accomplish many things, including booking 100 speaking engagements, (currently at 96!), connecting with 10,000 people on LinkedIn, (currently at 15,758!), embracing our new empty nesting lifestyle with my husband Greg, (so far, so good!), and becoming the woman I’ve always meant to be, (personally and professionally).

Overall, I’m impressed and blessed by all that I accomplished in 2019. Though I may not have met every goal at 100%, I love my life, my family, and the work I’m compelled to do. On top of all that love and excitement, I also wrote my fifth book this year and I’m enjoying every second of spreading the Pineapple Principle around the world. With all that said, there’s only one thing left to do in 2019…start planning for 2020! This new year I have some big goals, and I’m hoping you’ll join me in making them happen.

In keeping with the previous year’s preparations, step one is to choose a focus word (in 2019 that word was “full/fulfilled” – not “busy”!). In 2020, my focus word will be “intentional” (by choice, focused). With that in mind, I’ll be ready to start reaching my 2020 goals of booking 90 speaking engagements, getting back on track with my exercise since my bike accident, hosting three retreats, immersing myself in a new Bible study, and continuing to create and love the life I choose to build up and live each day.

As you begin the new year, I encourage you to join me in choosing a focus word that’s close to your heart. Then, I empower you to keep this word on your mind as you move through the year, (and your goals!), while making decisions that will continue leading you to living your exceptional life!

Sometimes it can be confusing to understand what a Motivational Speaker does and the value they bring to your event. I hope this video clarifies some of your confusion. Every time I speak the comments after remind me of the need and value I bring to an event. I have a number of ways I can serve your organization. Beauty within will last longer then any outer beauty

Do looks matter to you? When it comes to young girls, it seems like being cute, sexy, pretty, or beautiful is vitally important. To a young girl, having a boyfriend often equates to having value and this is sometimes the case with adult women, too. For me, this used to be relatable, but over the years how I want to be seen, valued, and acknowledged has changed.

Nowadays, being beautiful doesn’t have nearly the same value that it used to have in my mind, though I do think it’s important to take care of yourself, be somewhat well groomed, and dress appropriately for different situations. To me, it certainly isn’t the outside compliments that mean the most; rather, it’s those about my wisdom, strength, hard work, focus, and discipline that make me feel the best.

Sure, it can feel nice every once in a while to be seen when I’ve put in that extra effort to make sure I look nice for a special occasion, but the true feelings of value still come from what’s on the inside, which is what truly matters. Beauty only gets people so far in life before their brain, hard work, and finding their strengths and inner value must take over to continue growing, changing, and making progress in life.

The next time you’re about to offer someone a compliment about their person on the outside, I encourage you to stop and ask yourself, “What compliment can I give related to something within this person, like their worth or value?” Last week, someone expressed how honored they were to be in my presence because I’m a strong and wise woman. That compliment made me feel radiant and reinforced that value comes from the inside, not the outside. Imagine the feelings you would experience knowing you made someone feel that wonderful with your words!
