What are you leaving behind? Many people think of their legacy as the money they leave when they’re gone. I think legacy is so much more than money. It’s the IMPACT that you leave behind, when you leave the room or leave this earth. I hope to leave a legacy of Encouragement, Inspiration and Hope to those who I’ve had the opportunity to know.
I hope my children can find characteristics in me that they want to emulate. As for my husband and me, we plan to leave our kids the legacy of opportunity. We plan to support them financially and emotionally through their first four years of college, they pay 25% and we pay the difference. We also plan to support them with the opportunity of starting their own small business of AdvoCare, then they get to choose what they do after that. They can run with it, find a job and create opportunities to make their own money. Once they’re off and running, it’s up to them where they go from there; how they spend, save and invest their money. We’re investing now and hope that leaves a legacy of success and growth for a long and secure future for each of them. Then, we plan to spend the money we’ve earned on travel and adventure after they’re grown.
