My 100th Chooseletter…When you start something, Will you stick with it? Commitment + Consistency over time changes things. Are you ready to GROW your business? Today I have over 6800 subscribers ; )
My journey since the first Chooseletter that came out on January 7, 2014, has been full of adventures, excitement, growth, and learning. I’ve shared 100 choices, thoughts, ideas, stories, and even a few silly moments. I started with just 25 subscribers and now am well over 5,500. I believe these numbers show that consistency over time leads to growth and maybe even success. I’ve spoken to tens of thousands of people, and have been given the opportunity to travel to Paris, Rotterdam, CA, FL, AZ, and all across the Midwest to share my message.
Throughout my journey I’ve learned to go with the flow, as there’s often a little something that doesn’t run exactly as planned. I’ve learned to come early and stay late. I’ve discovered that everyone has a story with great value and lessons in it. People love to be seen, heard, and valued. In my case, making extra time to get to know my audience has been a gift that’s always multiplied and often has a beautiful butterfly effect.
When speaking, I remind people everywhere I go to live by choice, not by chance or circumstance. I encourage others to challenge the areas of their lives that are mediocre and mundane. It’s important to find your pain (struggle), and feel your passion (energy), because that’s where you’ll find your purpose if you choose to pursue it. Life is full of changes, some we choose and some choose us, but either way if you look for the silver lining, you’ll find it. I hope that you’re enjoying my Chooseletters because really, who needs more news when life is all about choices?
I often remind myself that if I teach what I need to learn, I’ll spend the rest of my life learning and hopefully teaching too. The joy of my journey, along with the opportunities to write and speak, are the wonderful people I get to work with and meet along the way. That’s why in today’s Chooseletter, I want more than anything to say thank you. Thank you for your support, encouragement, kind notes, gifts, and gestures. When we get to two hundred Choosletters, it will be your motivation that will have gotten me there.
